THERE IS NOTHING more natural than hiking through nature barefoot. The soles of your feet and toes are wonderful sensory organs and the myriad of feelings from earth, grass, moss, pine-needles, and mud are wonderful. Many could not see hiking any other way. HIKING BAREFOOT causes virtually no trail erosion since a bare foot makes much less of an imprint than a booted foot. Bare feet are therefore the environmentally sound choice for hiking. THE BAREFOOT HIKERS are groups of people who enjoy hiki …

Whether you are a seasoned barefoot hiker, a beginner, or even if you've never hiked, come jo …

Barefoot Runners NYC is a group of runners who have left their thick-soled sneakers in the dust and started running with Vibram Five Fingers, other minimal sole shoes, or totally barefoot. The body's natural stride is a healthier, more natural way to run, resulting in better running efficiency and fewer injuries. We follow a lot of Daniel Lieb …

Any person, at any ability level, who is interested in running and/or walking naturally is welcome! It doesn't matt …
Three of my favorite things to do are: figure drawing, making music, and playing games--all while sipping wine and and eating fancy cheeses with like-minded creative and fun people. To that end I am opening my house in Windsor Terrace Brooklyn for a once-or-twice-a-month get-together to anyone who would like to share in these activities. Whether you are an accomplished gamer, artist, and musician, or a novice that can barely play an instrument or draw, and never played Scrabble or Boggle in your …

You can think of Le Methode Naturelle as an "organic" workout. It uses mankind's innate drive to move, play, and work in order to be more in sync with the natural environment. This is not working out for just working out's sake----it's incrementally making your body and mind more functional. In other words, there's no gym needed, no fees, no machines. All one needs is creativity, community, and a natural sense of fun and freedom. We meet at various parks in the Central and North Jersey areas. We …
